Step up to an old toothbrush or other soft brush to get the ground-in dirt and dust. If the case is really grungy, you can use some type of magic eraser knockoff to clean it up. WebbI mean, alcohol is safe to use to clean PC components. I use it and q-tips on certain hard to reach places with stubborn dust . BUT, for the most part canned air and/or a vacuum cleaner will do a better and faster job. If you choose to use rubbing alcohol I suggest as high % as you can find. Out of an abundance of caution I’d use 90% minimum.

WebbI've slightly damaged SNES labels with Alcohol. But a good way to do it is to get a paper towel wet with alcohol and lightly rub the label. NES labels do tend to be a bit more resilient though.
