Have had howa short action, CZ550 and CZ527 both of which are a different beast to the 557 as I believe it’s a push feed rather than Mauser/mini Mauser controller feed. All accurate, people say the CZ are agricultural but personally I think their CFs are better finished than the Howas.

(527s have become pricey in the UK and AFAIK we aren't offered them as barreled actions.) The polymer 5-round Howa Mini magazine works OK, but I'd rate the steel 527 model higher. WebCZ is by far the nicest, howa are a little overpriced IMO, I'm also looking for a ruger in the $750 range, again think the ruger is a little overpriced currently. I don’t see them getting cheaper. CZ527 was my first firearm and it was a hoot to shoot. The set trigger on it is crisp. Mags are pricey tho.
